Simon Sun Alarm Clock
Says makes it easy for young children to know when it’s OK to get up – letting Mom and Dad sleep in on the weekends! Each “sunray” on Simon Sun lights up, one after the other, until all are lit. Children know that when all rays are lit, it’s OK to get up. Mako Invention’s designers interpreted the client’s requests, and developed both the form and the circuitry for Simon Sun. This product was then prototyped at our facilities in China. Mako Invention then was able to get the client a North American-wide distribution deal.
Binskinz Recycling Bin Covers/Wraps
Garbage bins can be an eyesore, but Binzskins can turn them into a work of art! These garbage bin stickers fit most municipal bins, and come in a wide range of high-quality patterns. Mako Invention’s design team perfected the shape of these cut-out bin stickers, and then coordinated the artwork and prototyping.
Golf Club Tee
One of Mako Inventions’s most successful products, Club Tee, is a device to keep the handle of your golf club suspended above the grass when a golfer needs to put it down. Mako Inventions’s designers created the form for Club Tee, based on the client’s requests, and also designed the packaging. Mako Inventions’s facilities then created a multi-cavity mould for the product, and shipped thousands of units around the world.
GPS Speed Reading Dog Collar
Have you ever wondered just how fast you and your dog can run? The GPS Speed Reading Dog Collar is an electronic collar that displays the current, max, and average speed of your dog via GPS. The device is made of toughened silicone, and can be operated by simply pinching the device. Mako Invention’s design team developed the innovative form for this product, and also created the circuitry, GPS sensors, and software that runs inside the device.
Penncorp Hard Hat
Safety products need to be made to the highest quality, and this hard hat designed for Penncorp was no exception. Mako Invention’s designers used high-density polyethylene (HDPE) for the outer shell, and also designed the custom branding. Upon design and research completion, Mako Invention manufactured the product for Penncorp.
12V Heated Food Container
Created for people who like a hot lunch on the go in their vehicle, this heated food container works like a regular tupperware bin, but has a built in heating element to warm up and keep your food hot. The product can be powered using either 110v or 12v. Mako Invention explored a wide range of forms for this product based on client requests, completed the design and circuitry, and then produced a fully functional prototype, along with filing for a US Provisional Patent Pending. Using the prototype, Mako Invention was able to get the client a major distribution deal for North American wide sales.
Ladder Buddy
When working on a ladder, sometimes there just isn’t enough space to hold all your tools. Ladder Buddy is a DIY product that adds a working surface to any ladder, at any height. Mako Invention designed this using extruded aluminum and injection moulded parts.
Pop Tab Openers
This novelty product lets you open aluminum drink cans without risking breaking a nail. Based on client requests, Mako Invention’s design team created the forms for these products, and also tested their functionality.
PP Express Potty Training Toy
The PP Express is a wall mounted toy that is designed to help young children practice proper toilet training habits. It features electronics that play music, as well as a custom designed marker for the child to record their successes. Mako Invention’s designers were provided with original artwork. From there, the plastic train, custom die-cut marker surface, and embedded electronics were designed in-house, and prototyped by Mako Invention.
Resistance Body Building Vest
The resistance vest offers a new way to exercise arms and legs. Twin coils are mounted on the back of the vest that provides resistance to a coiled chord. The strength of the resistance can be set by the wearer. Mako Invention developed visual design of the vest, as well as the mechanical design of the resistance mechanism. The design and the client were featured in a number of media publications.
Rock Shock Motorcycle Safety Lights
These safety lights can be installed on any motorcycle. They make the turn signals of motorcycles much more visible by strolling the light emitting diodes in sequence upon user activation. Mako Invention designed both the 3D CAD design and the electronics for this product. Mako Invention then prototyped the unit, which was used to land the client sales all over Continental US, and scored them a big distribution deal with a Canadian distributor. Mako Invention now produces the Rock Shock lights in large quantities.

Anyone who has every laid in the sun at the beach will appreciate this simple product. Beach Tanning Pillow allows you to tan face down comfortably by suspending your face above the ground, while allowing air to breath in and out of the air gap.
Wireless Item Finder
The wireless finder help’s you find things that you often misplace – keys, the TV remote, your cell phone. By pressing one of the four numbered buttons, a small receiver that you mount on your frequently lost item makes a sound, helping you locate it. Mako designed both the 3D design shape and the circuitry for this product, and then produced a fully functional prototype.

These custom designed hand-made dog leashes are perfect for the fashionable pet owner. The have a solid metal Mariner Badge clasp, along with custom woven multi-colour bright fabric. There are a number of different sizes and options for all types of dogs. Mako designed, developed, prototyped, manufactured, package designed, packaged, shipped, and distributed these products for the client.
